Ranchi is
situated near the North eastern part of India, especially close to West Bengal. That is why Ranchicelebrates Durga Puja with great fervor. Durga Puja is a nine day festival of Durga
ma that falls in the months of September and October. It is a widely celebrated
festival of North Eastern and Eastern India. Chath Puja (Puja of Sun) and
Makara Sankrant are other festivals of Ranchi.
Tribes of Ranchi celebrate Tusu Parab
(Makara sankrant), Bharta parab (falls in spring season), hal Punhya (falls in
winter) and Sarhul festival. Sarhul festival is a popular festival of Santhals
and Oraons. This comes in the months of February and March to welcome the New
Year. This festival is a festival of nature.
Pujas would be done to trees; especially it would be the flowering season for
the Sal trees. Sal flowers would be distributed among the villagers. People in
their traditional costumes dance around trees and take a procession. Handia
(beer jar) would be served to all.

Tourist Places in Ranchi
Ranchi Tourist attractions: Ranchi, the capital city of Jharkhand boasts of
having beautiful natural surroundings dotted with several waterfalls and lush

Jonha falls: Also known as Gautamdhara, Jonha waterfalls is key

tourists by its charming beauty. One has to climb down about 500 steps to

Dasams falls, Hudru falls and Panch Gagh falls are other gorgeous
waterfalls located around city of Ranchi.
Tagore Hill: It is a 300 ft high hill offering panoramic views of
surrounding region. Located near Albert Ekka Chowk in Ranchi, the hill is named
after famous poet and noble laureate, Ravindranath Tagore. The lush green
scenery and serene environ made the legendary poet like this hill. It is also
believed that Ravindranath Tagore did some of his literary works at this
tranquil place. The famous Ramakrishna Mission Ashram can also be visited at
the foothill.
Gonda Hill: Gonda Hill is another place of interest to be
visited around the city of Ranchi. Famous for its Kanke Dam Lake, Gonda Hill
serves to be a major picnic spot near Ranchi. This serene water reservoir is
beautifully perched on the top of hill and is considered to have originated
many years ago. Fascinating Rock Gardens located near Gonda Hill is another
noteworthy attraction of the place. 
Sun Temple: This elegant temple is built in architectural style
of a huge vehicle with eighteen wheels and seven horses. This impressive temple is perched amid
fascinating lush green lawns. A pond situated near the temple attracts the
tourists and devotes with its clean and serene water. The pond is much revered
by the devotees who believe that taking a dip in the water of this holy pond one
gets redemption from all the sins. Ranchi Lake, Birsa Zoological Park, Pahari
Mandir and Deer Park are other prominent attractions located in and around the
city of Ranchi.

Tourist places in Kanpur
Kanpur, the industrial capital of Uttar Pradesh state, is known for its various places of tourist attraction located in and around it. Jain Glass Temple:

It is another place of worship located in the city of Kanpur. The temple is built by J K Trust and is also referred as J K Temple. The temple contains five main shrines which are each dedicated to Lord, Lord Radhakrishna, Lord Laxminarayan, Lord Narmadeshwar, Lord Ardhnareshwar and Lord Hanuman. The temple is perfect blend of ancient and modern architectural style. The structure of the temple represents a beautiful mix of south and north Indian architectural style.
Popularly called as Kanpur Zoo, Allen Forest Zoo is famous picnic spot to visit in Kanpur. Set up in 1971 under the initiative of Sir Allen who was in Indian civil service, the zoo is named after Sir Allen. The zoo serves to be an ideal place to spend some quality time with family. Along with wild animals like tiger, leopard, bears, Cheetah, many other species of animals can be seen there. The zoo remains closed on Monday. Patthar Ghat, Phool Bagh, Valmiki Ashram and Bhitargaon Temple are other places of interest to be visited around the city of Kanpur.

Tourist Places in Coimbatore

Perur Siva Temple:
The temple is
an old one and is situated just 6 km west of Coimbatore city. Built by Karikala Cholan, the temple is
perched on the banks of Noyyal River. The outer part of the temples was
constructed during the 17th century, while the inner structure of
the temple is several centuries old. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. The
main deity of the temple is locally known as Patteeswara. 
Kovai Kutrulam Falls:
This gorgeous waterfall mesmerizes one and all with its sheer magnificent view. Located about 37 km away from Coimbatore, Kovai Kutrulam waterfall is a major tourist attraction of the region. Fair and festival in Kanpur

The events of Coimbatore are mainly the traditional ones such as community fairs and festivals.
The city hosts many Hindu temples.
The Konniamman temple located at Big Bazaar is quite popular among those
temples. Every year during summer a car festival (Rath Yatra) take place in
honor of the Amman. Other temples such as Avinashi temple and Karamandai
temples also host car festivals attracting a huge crowd. The popular Tamil festival Pongal and Vijaya Dashami would be
celebrated with great fervor. On the Vijaya
Dashami day Puja will be done in the offices, in the commercial centers.
The city celebrates Christian and Muslim festivals also. Kartikeya
Deepam, a popular festival of lights (Diwali)
would be celebrated all across Tamil Nadu. Likewise the city of Coimbatore too
celebrates.
Since Coimbatore is a commercial hub,
the city holds commercial fairs and exhibitions occasionally. Polachi, a city in the Coimbatore
district is a trade center. There would be weekly fairs in Polachi inviting

Jhansi, the city whose name brings to mind the valor and bravery of the famous medieval queen of India- Rani Laxmibai is home to several places of attraction which draws a number of tourists from different part of India.
Fort of Jhansi: It is a rich historical legacy of the city of Jhansi in Uttar Pradesh state. Set up during the early seventeen century by Raja Bir Singh Judao, the Fort of Jhansi serves to be a key attraction of the city. The entire city of Jhansi was later developed surrounding the fort. The wall of the fort once surrounded entire city of Jhansi. The wall was fortified by ten major gates. Remains the wall can still be seen there. Some the gates have stood the time and are present there. The depiction in the form of diorama which depicts the bloody battle in which Rani Laxmibai sacrificed her life while fighting against the British. Rani Mahal: Rani Mahal is another historic structure located in Jhansi. Built by Raghunath Newalkar II, Rani Mahal was once the residence of Rani Laxmibai. It has been turned into a museum which mainly displays articles related with the life of Rani Laxmibai and other artifacts belonging to the period from 9th to 12th century. The structure of Rani Mahal is quite distinct from other historical structure located in the region. The second floor of the Mahal house a Durbar Hall decorated with beautiful paintings.
Mahalaxmi Temple: this is one of the most prominent places of worship in Jhansi. Built in the 18th century, the temple is dedicated to goddess Mahalaxmi. This impressive temple is situated Laxmi Tal outside the Laxmi Darwaza. The majestic structure of the temple mesmerizes one and all. On the occasion of Laxmi Puja and Dipawali, thousand of devotees throng there to worship the goddess Mahalaxmi who is believed to bring good fortune to her devotees.
Barua Sagar: Located just 24 km away from center of city, Barua Sagar is yet another major attraction of Jhansi. It is perched on the banks of Betwa River and is surrounded by lush green sceneries.
