Tourist Places In Mysore

Tourist Places In Ahmedabad

Sabarmati Ashram :
Sabarmati Ashram is the key attraction of Ahmedabad. Located on the bank of Sabarmati River, the ashram is related with the life of Mahatma Gandhi and the freedom struggle of India. It was set up in the year 1915 and was the home to Mahatma Gandhi till the year 1930. It is from here that Gandhiji gave message to the Indian masses to raise their voice against British rule. Akshardham temple :
In the entire state of Gujarat Akshardham temple is one of the largest and most prominent temple. Located just 30 km away from Ahmedabad. Built in the year 1992, Akshardham temple is dedicated to Lord Swaminarayan.
Kankaria Lake :
Kankaria Lake is another main attraction of the city of Ahmedabad. Situated in the south east part of the city, Kankaria Lake is an artificial lake constructed by Sultan Qutub-ud-din in 1451 AD. This old lake was the bathing Ghat of Sulthans and their queens. Nagina Wadi, a beautiful garden situated there is added attraction of the place. Boating facility provided at the lake is another interesting feature of this place.

Fair and festival in Guwahati
Manasa festival is another major festival of Guwahati. Kamakhya temple in Guwahati is the main venue of the celebration of the festival. Manasa festival comes in the month of September every year and witnesses thousands of devotees offering prayer to the deity of the temple for abolishing all evils things from the region. The city of Guwahati also hosts Brahmaputra beach festival. Brahmaputra Beach Festival is the most charming event of the city. Tourist places in Vijayawada
Vijayawada, the land of victory as it literally means, is the third largest city of Andhra Pradesh state. Also known as Bezawada, the city of Vijayawada is perched on the bank of Krishna River. Kondapali fort is a major tourist attraction of Vijayawada located in the Krishna district in Andhra Pradesh,India.Located at the top of a hillock near the city, Kondapali Fort was assumedly built by Prolaya Vema Reddi, the founder of Kondaveedu’s Reddi kingdom during the 14th century. According to some historians, the fort dates back to the 7th century and was built by Krishna Deva Raya. The village Kondapali where this historic structure stands is also famous for its toys popularly known as Kondapali toys.
Undavalli caves is another place of interest near Vijayawada. These 7th century old caves hold great historical significance. A large statue of Lord Vishnu carved out of a single granite piece is the main highlight of the caves. The caves present the tourists excellent work of rock-cut architecture and sculptures. Take some time out to visit Mogalrajapuram Caves known for several beautiful rock-cut sculptures and architecture.
Victoria Museum : Another place of interest in Vijayawada is Victoria Museum. The museum is known for its collection of several ancient Andhra Pradesh sculptures, inscriptions, idols, paintings, cutlery, weapons, etc. It also displays the prehistoric stone tools, weapons, metal works, coins, etc. A large granite statue of Lord Buddha is the main attraction of Victoria Museum in Vijayawada. A beautiful white limestone figure of Lord Buddha in standing position can also be seen there.

The old fort :

Places of attraction: Located at the edge of Indian
southern peninsula, Kanyakumari is a major pilgrimage town in the state of

Kanyakumari Temple: Also known as Kumari Amman,

temple.
Vivekananda Rock
Memorial: It serves
to be a major place of attraction in Kanyakumari. It is perched on a rock just
500m off the main Island. Vivekananda Rock memorial was constructed in 1970 to
commemorate the visit of Swami Vivekananda to the place in 1892. When Swami
Vivekananda visited Kanyakumari in 1892, he swam to the rock and spent all the
night meditating there. The memorial contains a statue of Vivekananda and a
meditation hall.
Gandhi Memorial: Gandhi memorial is another place of
interest in Kanyakumari. The memorial was inaugurated on the birth anniversary
of Mahatma Gandhi on 2nd October in 1956. It is here that the ashes
of Mahatma Gandhi were kept before immersion. The central height of the monument
is 79 feet which represents the age of Mahatma Gandhi at the time of his death.
Apart from above mentioned places, Kanyakumari also houses
many other places of interest in and around it. Courtallam Falls, Thiruvalluvar
Statue, Keeriparai and Lord Subramanyam Temple are some of the prominent places
of attraction to be visited in and around Kanyakumari.
