The old fort :
The old fort of Surat is a key attraction of Surat. It is a historical significance structure in the region. The fort was built by Muhammad Tughalak during the 14th century. The fort was built as fortification against attacks by Bhil groups. Your tour to Gujarat is incomplete without your visit to Surat’s vast textile market. Surat is also famous for its large scale textile market in the country.

Dumas beach, situated just 16 km away from Surat, the beach is famous tourist place and for black sand. Apart from this traveler can visit a Dariya Ganesh temple adjoining the beach. There are plenty of Cottages and hotels are available for the accommodation facility.
Jagdish Chandra Bose Aquarium:

It is a first of it's kind multidisciplinary underwater aquarium in India. This aquarium has around 100 different spices of fish including brackish, marine water fishes and Gold fish, etc. in 52 eco system water tanks.
Bardoli :
Bardoli is another place of interest located around the city of Surat. The place has historical significance in Gujarat as well as in India because it was the same place where the father of the nation, 'Mahatma Gandhi' started his famous Bardoli Satyagraha against policies of British in India. In memory of this historical event, Swaraj Ashram has been built there.

Bulsar, known for its Vansda National Park is another major attraction near Surat. The place offers wild life adventure tourism in the state. Jeep safaris are available for the tourists to have close views of wild animals in their natural habitat. Hajira Beach is yet another place of attraction to be visited around the city. Located just 28 km away from Surat, Hajira Beach is known for its vast spread golden sand, cool and pleasant air and large number of lush green Casurina trees situated along the shore of Arabian Sea.
