Samlaya Railway Junction is located in Vadodara district of Indian state of Gujarat. It falls on Godhra-Vadodara rail line and is served with number of trains connecting it to many other cities of India. Samlaya Junction belongs to Vadodara division of Western Railway Zone. SMLA is the station code of Samlaya Junction. There are some major cities and places of interest located near Samlaya Junction. Vadodara is the third largest city of Gujarat. Samlaya Junction lies just about 30 km away from it and has rail and road connections to it. Formerly known as Baroda, the city of Vadodara hosts numerous places of attractions.
Pavagadh is major tourist destination located just 35 km away from Samlaya Junction which has road connectivity to it. Pavagadh is a beautiful hill station offering many picturesque views of exquisite natural surroundings. It also hosts famous Mahakali Temple which attracts thousands of devotees from different parts of the country. Champaner-Pavagadh Archeological Park is the main highlight of the place.
Dehradun-Bandra Exp, Mumbai Central-Firozpur Cant, Dahod-Vadodara DMU, Valsad- Dahod Intercity Exp, and many other trains pass through Samlaya Junction.
