Rajula is a town
located in Amreli district of Gujarat state. It is a railway junction which
belongs to Bhavnagar division of Western Railway Zone. Rajula Junction is
served with many trains connecting it other parts of Gujarat and rest parts of
India. RLA is the station code of Rajula Junction. The town of Rajula hosts
some prominent temples in and around it. Kumbhanath Sukhnath Temple is one of
them. It is an old temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. The temple attracts number
of devotees from far and wide. An annual fair is also organized at the temple.
Dhareshwar which is located just 3 miles from Rajula Junction also hosts an
important temple of Lord Shiva. It is believed to be built by Bhim, one of the
characters from great epic of Mahabharata.
Some of the
important places which one can visit from Rajula Junction include Palitana, Gir
National Park, Bhavnagar, Junagadh etc. Mahuva exp (Mahuva-Surat), Surat exp
(Surat-Mahuva), Mahuva-Bhavnagar passenger, Rajula Mahuva Passenger, Mahuva-
Dhola Passenger and many other trains stop at Rajula Junction. Rajula town is
also connected by state highway no 34 and 106 to other parts of Gujarat state.
Surat serves to be the nearby major railhead to Rajula, while Diu airport is
the closest airbase to it.
