Pulgaon is a town in
Wardha district of Maharashtra state. It is served with a railway junction
which comes under Nagpur Junction of Central Railway Zone. Pulgaon Railway Junction is perched on Nagpur-Amravati rail line.
There are several trains which connect Pulgaon Junction to other parts of
Maharashtra and rest part of the country. There are some prominent cities
located around it. Wardha which
serves as the district headquarters is just about 33 km away from Pulgaon Junction.
Sevagram located on the outskirts of Wardha is famous historic place. Sevagram was the place of Ashram of
Mahatma Gandhi.
Major cities like Amravati, Nagpur and Yavatmal
are located around Pulgaon Junction.
Pulgaon Junction is just about 55 km away from Yavatmal city and has road access to it. The city of Amravati lies just about 75 km
northwest of Pulgaon Junction and is connected to it by both rail and road.
Pulgaon is just 110 km away from Nagpur, the orange city of India. Pulgaon has
road and rail connections to it. Besides, Nagpur
also serves to be closest airbase for Pulgaon Junction.
Sevagram Exp (Nagpur- Mumbai), Mumbai central
–Ballarpur exp, Nagpur –Kolhapur Exp, Nagpur- Jabalpur Exp, Nagpur-Amravati
Exp, Pune-Nagpur Exp, Mumbai-Gondia Exp and many other trains stop at Pulgaon Junction.
State Highway no 243 and 244 also connect the town of Pulgaon to other parts of
Maharashtra.
