Badarpur
Badarpur is a small
town located in Karimganj district of Assam state, India. Badarpur has a railway junction which comes under North East
Frontier Railway Division of Indian Railways. Badarpur Junction Railway Station
falls on Karimganj–Jatinga meter gauge railway line. Karimganj Junction Railway Station is a major railway railhead just
about 25 km west of Badarpur.
Badarpur falls in
Karimganj district which is home to several places of attraction. These places
can easily be explored from Badarpur Jn.
Enriched with lush green forests, Karimganj serves to be a perfect
picnic spot in Assam state. Beautiful natural surroundings in Karimganj attract a number of tourists
throughout the year. The district is abundant with rich flora and fauna and

a major tourist destination in the state of Assam and is just about 32 km away
from Badarpur. Located in Surma valley region, Silchar is vey
picturesque location worth a visit in Assam state. Silchar is home to many historic structures, places of worship and
numerous scenic spots. Sri Kancha Kanta Devi Temple and Maniharan Tunnel are
some of prominent places of attractions in and around Silchar.
Badarpur is well connected by National Highways (NH-44 &
NH-53) to other parts of the state and the country. Kumbhirgram Airport (55km) is the closest airbase to Badarpur,
while major airport is located at Guwahati
city which is about 310 km away from Badarpur and is the capital place of
Assam. Badarpur Junction Railway Station
is served with many trains which connect the town to other Indian cities and
towns.
