Warangal is fifth largest city in state of Andhra Pradesh, India. It is the head town of Warangal district which is made of three cities – Hanamakonda, Kazipet and Warangal itself. Warangal was the capital place of erstwhile Kakatiya Kingdom which ruled the region during 12th to 14th century. Warangal is historically known as Orugallu and Ekasila Nagaram. Prola Raja of Kakatiya Kingdom is assumed to have built this city during 12th century. There are many leftover of historic monuments, fort and Shiva temple in Warangal which belong to 12th to 14th century.

Warangal Fort :-
Warangal fort is built in 13th century during the great Kakatiya Kingdom. The majestic fort has four Sanchi -style gateways and is one of the finest specimens of south Indian architecture. The fort is famous for its beautiful sculptures. There are some temples situated inside the fort.
Bhadrakali is another temple to be seen in Warangal. The temple houses the deity of goddess Kali. It is situated on nearby hill of Warangal. The temple is built in Kakatiya dynasty. The idol of the goddess kali is adorned with weapons in her eight hands and crown on her head.

Thousand Pillared Temple is another place you should not miss on your visit to Warangal. The temple present marvel to the visitors. It has beautifully carved thousand pillars and is built in the star like structure. The temple contains three shrines of Lord Shiva, Lord Vishnu and Lord Surya.

Visit the Kakatiya Musical Garden situated near Bhadrakali temple. The garden is spread over an area of 15 acres and is nice spot to spend time with your family. Famous Fort Murud Janjira Maharashtra
Murud Janjira is a famous fort in the state of Maharashtra, India. The fort is located on an island near coastal village of Murud in the district of Raigad. The fort was occupied by Siddis dynasty and is famous for being the only fort along the Indian coastal region which was could not be conquered despite many attempts made by British, Maratha and Dutch. Konkani and Marathi are widely spoken languages in the region while Hindi is also spoken by some. September to June is best time to visit Murud Janjira.
Murud Janjira fort is regarded as one the strongest sea forts in India. The fort is perched on oval-shaped rock off Arabian Sea coast and it was built in 16th century. It is about 165 km away from Mumbai. The fort can be reached by sailboats. These are available from Rajapur jetty. The main gate of the fort facing Rajapur on shore can be seen only when we are very close to it. The fort is strengthened with about 19 bastions and it houses several domestic and European canons. This fort once has all the facilities like palaces, quarters of officers, mosque and a large water tank. However the palace of Nawabs of Janjira is still intact and in good shape.
Murud beach is another attraction in near the fort. This 1.7 km long beach is the delight for the tourists. Gol Ghumbaj, Kasa fort,Garambi Falls Ahamedganj Palace and Nandgaon are some of many other places of attraction near the fort of Murud Janjira.

Tourist Places in Kurnool
Kurnool is a city in Indian southern state of Andhra Pradesh. It is the headquarter of the district of the same name ‘Kurnool District’. It was once capital city of the state of Andhra Pradesh.
