Kharagpur Railway Junction



Kharagpur is the fourth largest city of West Bengal state. It is served with a major railway junction which belongs to South Eastern Railway Zone. Kharagpur is an industrial city located in Midnapore West district of the state. It is also famous for Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur.  Kharagpur Railway Junction platform serves to be the longest platform in the world. A number of trains ass through Kharagpur Railway Junction and connect it many other parts of the country. Kharagpur Jn is just about 125 km away from Kolkata- the capital city of West Bengal.

Midnapore, the headquarters of Midnapore West district, is just about 15 km away from Kharagpur Jn.  Perched on Kangsabati River, Midnapore is historic and religious significant place housing several old temples and other structures.  Jagannath temple situated at Nutan Bazar is an important place of worship in Midnapore. Built in 1851 by the descendents of Ganga Dynasty of Orissa, the temple also holds great historic significance. Habibpur Kali Temple and Sitala Temple are other places of worship in Kharagpur. Shankarpur is another worth visiting place near Midnapore. Famous for its serene and unexploited beach, Shankarpur is an ideal picnic spot away from hustle and bustle of urban life. Digha Beach is another exquisite beach located near Shankarpur.

Gitanjali Exp (Mumbai-Howrah), Coromandel Exp (Chennai Central- Howrah), New Delhi-Puri Exp, Rajdhani Exp (Bhubaneswar-Delhi), Howrah-Mysore Exp, Secunderabad-Howrah Exp and many others trains pass through Kharagpur Railway Junction. National Highway no 6 also connect Kharagpur city to other parts of West Bengal and rest of the country, while Kolkata’s Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport serves to be the closet airbase to it.

Chilbila Junction,Uttar Pradesh

 Chilbila Junction is located in the Pratapgharh district of Uttar Pradesh near Pratapgharh junction. It is situated between Pratapgharh and Sultanpur. This railway station comes under the jurisdiction of Northern railway and the station code is CIL.
 Allahabad lies at about 65 km distance from Chilbila junction. Lucknow lies at about 175 km. The railway station at Chilbila is a small one having connectivity to Varanasi, Prayag, Dehradun, Bareilly, and Varanasi. The Mughal Sarai junction is the nearest major junction for Chilbila. Major trains passing through this junction are BSB-DDN Express, PRG-BE Express, RMR-BSB Express, and Pratapgharh-Kanpur Intercity Express. Pratapgharh, Sringverpur, Allahabad, Jaunpur, Raibareilly are some nearby attractions approachable from Chilbila city

Bhojipura Railway Junction




Bhojipura junction is located in the Bareilly district of Uttar Pradesh. The railway station comes under the circuit of North Eastern Railways, and the station code is BPR. Bhojipura junction lies at a distance of about 20 km from the Bareilly station. The station is near to Pilibhit station (47 km) and Izzatpur station (12 km).

Khatima, Moradabad, Kathgodam, Tanakpur and Kashipur are some tourist attractions nearby. It is a small junction in which mainly local/passenger trains pass through connecting neighborhood stations like Pilibhit, Gonda, Bareilly and Kasganj.  Major express trains running through this station are Gokul Express running between Gonda and Kasganj, and the Nainital Express between Lal Kuan and Aishbhag.

Andal Railway Junction

Andal Railway Station, West Bengal
             Andal is a town in the Indian state of West Bengal.  It comes under Durgapur subdivision of Bardhaman district and is located near the bank of mighty Damodar River. Andal has a railway junction which falls on Howrah-Delhi rail line. Andal Junction Railway Station belongs to Asansol Railway Division of Indian Eastern Railway. Andal also serves as the largest good yard in Asansol division.
          There are some places of attractions which can be explored from Andal town. Durgapur is just 30 km away south east of Andal. It is famous planned city of west Bengal. It is major industrial destination of the state. Garh Jungle, Durgapur Barrage, Troika Park and Bhabani Pathaks Tilla are some of the places of interest in Durgapur. Asansol is another major tourist destination near Andal. It is just 30 away from Andal and is dotted with several attractions like Maithan, Kalyanesvari temple, Nehru Parka, etc.
        Ramnabagan Wildlife Sanctuary is located just about 60 away from Andal and is famous among wildlife adventure buff tourists. One can spot there numerous species of animals and bird. Botanical Garden at Bolapur and Gangajalghati Forest are other places worth a visit around the town of Andal. 
Andal Railway Station is connected by several trains to many other parts of India. National Highway no 2 (NH-2) also connects the town to other cities of West Bengal and other parts of the country.
