Alnavar Railway Junction
Alnavar is a small town in the district
of Dharwad of Karnataka state. Alnavar
is a railway junction and is just 60 km away from city of Hubli. The town is famous for raw mangoes produced there on large
scale to make pickles. Dharwad city
is just about 45 km away from Alnavar. There are some places of interest
situated around the town of Alnavar.
Dandeli famous for its wildlife sanctuary is
just 35 km away from the town of Alnavar. The place is also popular among
adventure tourists as it offers facility of river rafting in Kali River flowing
through the region. Anshi National Park
is another place offering wildlife tourism near Alnavar. The National Park is home to several species of birds and
animals. A gorgeous waterfall known as Dudhsagar
fall can also be visited near there.
Apart from these the city of Hubli which is just about 60 km away
from Alnavar is known for several
places of interest like Unkal Lake,
Nruptunga Hill, Indira Gandhi Glass House Garden, etc. It is mainly famous for
its ancient temple- Chandramouleshwara Temple.
Alnavar Railway
Junction is nearest railway junction to Hubli
and Dharwad and is connected by
several trains to other cities of Karnataka and the rest part of the country. Trains
are available from Alnavar Railway Junction to Mumbai, Bangalore, Hubli, Goa,
Mysore, Delhi, etc. State highway no 93 connects the town of Alnavar to other towns
and cities of Karnataka state.

Alipurduar
is a town and municipality in Jalpaiguri
district of the state of West Bengal. Perched on the banks of Kaljani River at
the foothills of Himalaya, Alipurduar is
a major gateway to Bhutan and north eastern state of India. The town is
situated in Dooars region which is dotted with timber-filled forests, wildlife
and beautiful natural locations. Alipurduar has rich culture especially tribal
culture as the region is populated by considerable number of tribal people.
Rava, Santhal, Mech and Rajbanshi are some of tribes which have conserved their
rich cultures and traditions.
Alipurduar
is not a famous tourist destination itself, yet some places surrounding the
town are worth visiting. Buxa Tiger
Reserve near Alipurduar is famous wildlife area in West Bengal. Rich in
flora and fauna, Buxa Tiger Reserve is has been recognized National Park. It houses a number of Bengali tigers and
other species of animals and birds. One
can spot a number of elephants making their way through Chalipata Forest
located near the tiger reserve. Jaldapara
wildlife Sanctuary forms another part of eco-tourism in the region.
Rajabhantawa,
Raimatang, Jayanti and Bhutanghat are other places with great wildlife tourism
potentials. Chhota Sinchula, the highest peak in the region with an altitude of
about 1733, offers picturesque views of the Buxa forests. Alipurduar also houses several trekking trail which taken by the
tourist to explore beautiful natural surroundings.
Alipurduar
serves to be the divisional headquarters of North Eastern Frontier Railway. Alipurduar Railway Junction is
connected by several trains to Delhi, Kolkata, Guwahati, Lucknow and many other
cities West Bengal and the country. The town is also connected by major state
highways to other parts of the state.
