Mangalore, a coastal city of Karnataka, is known for its lush green surrounding hills, fast flowing rivers merging into the Arabian Sea and large number of coconut trees perched along the shore of the sea and Mangalore city serves to be administrative headquarters of Dakshina Kannada district is home to several places of tourist attraction.

Kudroli Gokarnath temple: It is prominent place of worship in Mangalore. Built in 1912, the temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. The temple was built by Shri Narayan Guru, a sage and social reformer of Kerala. Apart from the shrine of main deity, the temple also houses other smaller shrines. It also contains the beautiful mural paintings depicting the incidences from mythological stories.
There are many other places of attraction situated in and around city of Mangalore. Light House Hill Garden, Kadri Hill Park, Bejali Museum, New Mangalore Port and Milagres Church are some of them.
