Nidadavolu is a town in West Godavari district of AndhraPradesh state. It is a railway junction which is managed by Vijayawada Junction of
South Central Railway Zone. Nidadavolu Railway Junction is perched on Samlkot -
Vijayawada rail route. Nidadavolu town is known for its several temples which
are mainly located on the banks of the canal which goes through the town. These
temples also hold great historical significance and therefore attract large
number of tourists and devotees alike from different part of the state.
Rajahmundry, Konaseema, Kakinada, Machelipatnam and Papi
Kondalu are some of the prominent places which are also easily accessible from
Nidadavolu Jn. Konark Exp (Mumbai-Bhubaneswar), Howrah-Chennai Mail, Godavari
Exp (Visakhapatnam-Hyderabad), Ratnachalam Exp (Visakhapatnam-Vijayawada),
Bhubaneswar – Secunderabad exp, Tirumala Exp (Tirupati- Visakhapatnam),
Tirupati – Puri Exp and many other
trains pass through Nidadavolu Railway Junction. Nidadavolu town is also linked
by several highways to other parts of Andhra Pradesh.
