Narkatiaganj is a city in West Champaran district of Bihar
state. It is located near the border of neighboring country of Nepal.
Narkatiaganj is railway junction which comes under Samastipur division of
Eastern Railway Zone. There are several places of interest which can easily be
explored from Narkatiaganj Jn. Lauria Nandangarh is a historic place located
just 15 km away from Narkatiaganj. It is the remains site of huge Buddhist
Stupa of 26 m height. Another historic structure found there is Ashokan Pillar
which lies just half km away from Stupa site. Other important places which can
also be accessed from Narkatiaganj include Kushinagar, Motihari, Kesariya, etc.
Anand Vihar Trm (Delhi) - Muzaffarur Exp, Motihari- Manduadih
(UP) exp, Gorakhpur- Kolkata Exp, Guwahati – Jammu Tawi exp and many other
trains pass through Narkatiaganj Railway Junction. Narkatiaganj is also linked
by road to other parts of Bihar state, while the nearest airbase to the town is
Gorakhpur Airport.
