Amla is a small town in the state of Madhya Pradesh, India. Situated in Betul district of the state, the town of Amla has a railway junction. It was earlier a place of storing ammunitions during the British rule. It was then referred as Ammunition Land. The name Amla is the abbreviated form of it.  The town is still famous for storing bombs and missiles of Indian Air Force. 
Amla Junction Railway Station comes under Central Railway, Nagpur. Barsali (15km) and Jaulkhera (18 km) are nearby railway stations to Amla. Amla Junction is just about 170 km away from Nagpur.  Panchmarhi, Satpura National Park, Itarasi are some of the tourist places located around Amla. Located at an altitude of about 1000 m, Panchmarhi is a beautiful hill station. It is a part of Satpura mountain ranges and is popularly called as the Satpura ki Rani. One can also explore the famous Pandava caves and beautiful horticulture garden near Panchmarhi. 
Satpura National Park is another place of attraction one can explore from Amla. Famous for its flora and fauna, the park is spread over an area of about 524 sq km. It is abundant with several species of birds and animals and therefore it serves as a perfect place for wildlife freak tourists. Apart from these nearby places of attraction the town of Amla itself houses a large temple dedicated to Lord Hanuman. Besides, Renuka Mata Temple at Chhawal is another place of worship situated just 7 km away from Amla. 
Amla Railway Station is served with several trains connecting it to other railhead like Nagpur, Itarasi, Chhindwara and many other parts of India. Nagpur Airport is the nearest major airbase to Amla. The airport is well connected to all major cities of India.
