Godhra is the headquarter town of Panchmahal district in the state of Gujarat. It is a railway junction which comes under Vadodara Jn of Western Railway Zone. Godhra Railway Junction falls on Vadodara-Piplod rail route and is served with many trains which connect it many other parts of India. Kansudhi and Kharsaliya are nearby railway stations to Godhra Jn. Vadodara Jn is the nearby major railhead to Godhra Jn.
Godhra Jn serves to be a major base from where one can easily explore several places of attraction situated around it. The historical city of Champaner is just about 45 km away from Godhra. Visited by number tourists especially history buffs, Champaner is an important archeological site in the state. Perched at an altitude of about 822 m, Pavagadh is a hill station located just about 50 km away from Godhra Jn. This beautiful place is also famous for its Mahakali Temple which draws thousands of devotees from different parts of Gujarat state.
There are several trains which pass through Godhra Railway Junction. Patna-Ahmedabad Exp, Somnath-Jabalplur Exp, Jammu Tavi-Happa (GJ) Exp, Jamnagar-Jammu Tavi Exp, and Mumbai Central- Amritsar Exp are some of the trains which run through Godhra Jn. Godhra is also linked by national highway no 59 and several other highways to other parts of the state. Vadodara (85 km) serves to be the closest airbase to Godhra Jn.
