Important industrial town and the largest city Ludhiana of the state of Punjab, is known for many places of worship and tourist interest located in and around it. These places of attraction make the city a major tourist spot in the state.
Tourist attractions:
 

Ludhiana Fort : Built by the king Sikander Lodhi, Ludhiana fort happens to be the key attraction of Ludhiana. This old fort was built about 500 years ago and is perched on the bank of Sutlej River.  The fort mesmerizes one and all with its magnificent and imposing look. Though the most part of the fort is in ruin condition, it still remains the most visited place in Ludhiana. 



Maharana Ranjit Singh War Museum : Located just 5 km away from Ludhiana railway station, Maharana Ranjit Singh War Museum is another major attraction of the city. At the very entrance of the museum, one can find a massive statue of Maharana Ranjit Singh perched in the throne. Tanks, anti-aircraft gun, car scout and old Sukhoi fighter aircraft can be found placed near the statue. There are twelve galleries which cater the war subject like Kargil war and also to ancient history.   
 
Gurudwara Srimanji Sahib Alamgir : It is located at Almagir village just 10 km away from Ludhiana city. The Gurudwara serves to be a prominent place of worship in the region. The place is also famous for its religious harmony. It is at the same place where Guru Gobind Singh was given protection by his Muslim devotees. It hosts a fair every year in the month of December.

Punjab Agriculture University Museum, Pir-I-Dastgir Shrine, Bhiwanwali Masjid and Gurudwara Nanaksar Jagroan are other places of interest and worship to be visited in and around the city of Ludhiana.
