Kullu is the headquarter town of Kullu district. Charming Kullu valley in the state of Himachal Pradesh with the magnificent backdrop of Himalayan Mountains is dotted with numerous picturesque natural locations. Famous for its Dussera celebration, Kullu is home to many prominent temples which serve to be the key attractions of the region.

Raghunathji Temple: It is important pilgrim toruist destination of Himachal Pradesh which constructed in 1651.The temple is famous for its seven-day long celebration of Dussera festival. The temple is dedicated to Raghunathji which is the chief guardian deity of entire Kullu valley. Built in the year 1650, Raghunathji Temple presents a beautiful blend of Pyramidal and Pahari architectural style. Perched on the hillock, the temple also offers visitors picturesque views of Kullu valley.

Himalayan National Park: Famous among the wildlife freak tourists, the Great Himalayan National Park is a major attraction in Kullu region in the state of Himachal Pradesh. It also known as Jawaharlal Great Himalayan National Pak, the park is home to numerous species of animals and birds. Spread over a wide area, the park houses deer, brown beers, black bears, Himalayan Tahr, etc. One can also spot snow leopard which is one of the most  endangered  animal species in the world.

Bijli Mahadev Temple: Situated at the top of a majestic hill having 2450 m elevation from the sea level, Bijli Mahadev temple is prominent place of worship in Kullu valley. It offers the magnificent views of lush green valley below. Dedicated to Lord Shiva, Bijli Mahadev temple presents a wonderful Pahari style of architecture. Large number of pine trees perched along the uphill way to the holy shrine makes the journey of the pilgrim and tourists a pleasant and unforgettable experience.

Along with these places of interest, Kullu Valley’s main attraction lies in its exquisite nature which is filled with lush green hills, valleys, lakes, dense forest dotted with pine and deodar trees, rivers, scenic landscapes etc. Adventure tourism in Kullu is also gaining popularity among the tourists. River rafting and trekking are the preferred tourists activities of the tourists visiting Kullu.
