Chennai capital
city of Tamil Nadu is previously known as Madras. It is 31st largest
metropolitan city in the world.City is big hub for the IT companies and
has famous for tourism for the historical and religious places as well
as many other attractions are also there in and around the city.
MGR film city is recently built place by Tamil Nadu government in 1994 in memory of MG Ramachandran, popular film actor and longtime Chief Minister of Tamilnadu.Tamil Film Industry which is second (next to Mumbai) in film production.The film city has artificial set of indoor and outdoor shooting locations, replicas of village,urban,police station etc.
It is popular beach in Chennai runs for 12 km and is the second longest beach in the world.Marina is primarily sandy, unlike the short, rocky formations that make up the Juhu Beach in Mumbai.The aquarium is at the beginning of the beach, is another important attraction near the beach. His famous work Thirukkural has been inscribed on stone in the front hall corridors of the chariot. The memorial is said to have the largest auditorium in Asia with a capacity of 4000 people.
St.Thomas the apostle of Christ is believed to have visited India between 52 and 72 AD. He is believed to have died in the area called St Thomas Mount.
National Art Gallery
It is situated at the pantheon road,Egmore.It’s a beautiful gallery preserving the artifacts as representation of cultural aspect of the city. Building was designed by Henry Irwin.There is a good collection of old paintings and sculptures including Tanjore paintings on glass; Rajput and Mughal miniature paintings; Deccan paintings from 17th century; and handcrafts, metalware, and ivory carvings from 11th and 12th century.MGR Film City

Parthasarthi Temple
Built in the 8th century B.C. by the Pallava Dynasty and dedicated to Lord Krishna, this temple was renovated in the 16th century by the Vijayanagara dynasty and continues to be in active use today.Government Museum Complex
