Bandel Railway Junction
Bandel is suburban area of Chinsurah–Mogra Block in Hooghly district
in the state of West Bengal. This former Portuguese settlement forms a part of Kolkata Metropolitan Area and is just about 50 km north of
Kolkata, the capital city of West Bengal. Bandel
is major railway junction on Eastern Railway, Howrah Jn. It is the meeting place of Howrah-Bardhaman main line,
Bandel-Katwa line and Bandel-Naihati line.
There are some notable places
located around Bandel. Debandapur is
famous for being the birth place of a well known Bengali author named Sharat
Chandra Chattopadhay. The place where he was living now houses a library and
museum named after him. Debandapur also houses an old temple belonging to the
19th century. Sahaganj which is located just 4 km
away from Bandel Railway Station is home to a unit of Dunlop India Ltd. Tribeni perched on Bandel-Katwa line

Banda Railway Junction
Banda
Banda is a municipal town and the
headquarters of Banda district in the state of Uttar Pradesh. The town is well
connected by road and railway to other parts of the state and the country. Banda Railway Junction belongs to North
Central Railway, Jhansi Jn. Dingawahi and Khairar Jn are nearby railway
stations to Banda. Kanpur which is
