Saharsa is a city and the headquarters of Saharsa district in
the state of Bihar. It is served with a railway junction which comes under
Samastipur Junction division of East Central Railway Zone. Saharsa Junction is
perched on Mansi-Jogbani rail line. SHC is the station of code of Saharsa
Railway Junction. Many places of interest can easily be reached from Saharsa Junction.
Munger is a prominent historic city located near Saharsa. Home to numerous
attractions, Munger serves to be an important tourist spot in Bihar. Munger
Fort, Sita Kund, Bihar School of Yoga and Bhimband Wildlife Sanctuary are some
of the worth visiting places in Munger. Madhubani, Darbhanga, Samastipur and
Bhagalpur are other prominent places which are located near Saharsa and are also
easily accessible from it.
Trains which pass through Saharsa Railway Junction include
Garibrath Exp (Saharsa-Amritsar), Saharsa-Sealdah Exp, Koshi Exp
