Rangia, also
spelled as Rangiya, is a city in Kamrup district of Assam state. It is a major
railway divisional headquarters of North East Frontier Railway Zone. It is just
about 55 km away from Guwahati, former capital city of Assam state. RNY is the
station code of Rangia Jn. There are
number of worth visiting places located around Rangia Jn. Nalbari, situated
just about 20 km away from Rangia Jn, is known for several prominent temples
and beautiful natural surroundings. Hari Mandir, Billeshwar Mandir, Dausharl
temple are some of the major places of worship in Nalbari city. Rangia has rail
and road connectivity to Nalbari
Perched near the
banks of Brahmaputra River, Hajo is another important place one can visit from
Rangia. Hajo is a major pilgrimage center of Assam state. It is just about 40
km away from Rangia Jn and is visited by thousands of devotees round the year. Guwahati
which serves to be the largest city of Assam state can also be accessed from
Rangia Jn which has rail and road connectivity to it. The famous Kaziranga National
Park is a major attraction to explore near Guwahati. Kamakya Temple which lies
just 7 km away from heart of the city is another major place of interest to be
visited near Guwahati. Dispur and Mangladai are other important places one can
access from Rangia Jn.

Spl, Guwahati-Anand Vihar Trm (Delhi) Exp, Secuderabad-Guwahati Exp,
Trivandrum-Guwahati Exp and many other trains pass through Rangia Railway
Junction. Guwahati Airport serves to be the closest airbase to Rangia.
