Purnia Junction
is in the Purnia district of Bihar.
The railway station comes under the jurisdiction of Northern Frontier Railways of India. Station code is: PRNA. Kathihar junction is the nearest major railway
station which is at about 33 km by road.
Purnia city hosts bases of Border
Security Force and Indian Army. The city is located towards the eastern end of
Bihar. Sahibganj, Bhagalpur, Malda, Munger are the nearby places for the
tourists. Purnia station is a small junction connected by few express trains.
It is well connected to Kathihar and Jogbani by daily passenger trains. Express
trains running through this station are Seemanchal Express connecting Delhi
with Jogbani and JBN Kolkata Express connecting Kolkata with Jogbani via
Purnia.
