Purna is a town in Parbhani district of Maharashtra state. It is a major railway junction which comes under Nanded division of South Central Railway Zone. Purna Railway Junction is perched on Manmad - Nanded rail route. Served with many trains, Purna Jn has rail connectivity to Aurangabad, Manmad, Mumbai, Nasik, Nanded, Parbhani, Jalna, Pune, Nagpur, Tirupati, Erode, Madurai, Parali Vaijnath, Kachiguda, Latur, Osmanabad etc. There are many religious sites and other places of interest located around Purna Jn. Nanded is famous Sikh pilgrimage city attracting thousands of devotees round the year. Purna Jn lies just about 38 away from Nanded and has rail and road connectivity to it. Parali Vaijnath is just about 100 km away from Purna Jn. It is famous for Vaijnath Temple which happens to be one of twelve Jyotirlings (the most sacred places dedicated to Lord Shiva). Parbhani, Jalna and Hingoli are major nearby cities to Purna Jn. Nanded airport serves to be the closest airbase to Purna.
Ajmer - Hyderabad Spl, Bhubaneswar - Manmad Spl, Nandigram exp (Nagpur-Mumbai), Sachkhand Exp (Nanded - Amritsar), Pune - Nanded Exp, Tapovan Exp (Mumbai CST-Nanded), Devgiri Exp (Mumbai - Secunderabad), Ajanta Exp (Manmad - Secunderabad) and many other trains pass through Purna Railway Junction.
