Petlad
is a town and municipality in Anand district of Indian state of Gujarat. The
town is served with a major railway junction. Petlad Railway Junction belongs to Vadodara division of Western
Railway Zone. Dharmaj and Agas are nearby railway
stations to Petlad Jn. PTD is the station code of Petlad Jn. There are several
trains which pass through the junction connecting it other parts of the
country. Many places of interest located around Petlad Jn can easily be accessed
from it.
Petlad is just about 25 km away from Anand city, the
headquarters of Anand district. Anand is known for several attractions
located in and around it. Petlad town has road and rail access to it. Kheda,
Baroda, Pavagadh and Ahmedabad are some the major cities and
places of interest that are also easily accessible from Petlad Jn. Bhadran
(Gj)-Nadiad (Gj) Passenger, Khambad (Gj)-Anand DMU and Anand – Khambad DMU are
some of the trains which stop at Petlad Railway Junction. Petlad town is also
well connected by road to other parts of Gujarat state. Vadodara is about 55 km away from Petlad and is the closest airbase
to it.
