Nadiad is a town and the headquarters of the Kheda district of Gujarat state. It is famous for its Santram Mandir. Nadiad is a railway junction managed by Vadodara division of Western Railway Zone. Nadiad Railway Junction is perched on Ahmedabad –Vadodara rail route and is served several trains connecting it to many other parts of India. Ahmedabad Jn serves to be the nearby major railhead to Nadiad Jn.
Santram Mandir is the key attraction of Nadiad. The temple is known for its beautiful architectural style and carvings. It is dedicated to Santram Maharaj, a holy saint who once lived there. Santram Mandir trust runs several charitable organizations in Nadiad. Nadiad Jn also lies just 20 km away from Anand which is home to a number of attractions. Kheda, Vadodara, Ahmedabad and Gandhi Nagar are other major cities located around Nadiad and have rail and road connections to it.
Bikaner-Bandra Spl, Secunderbad-Porbandar Spl, Madgao (Goa)-Ahmedabad Spl, Patna-Ahmedabad Spl, Nagpur-Ahmedabad Exp and many other trains stop at Nadiad Railway Junction.
