Laksar is a town located in Haridwar district of Uttarakhand state.
It is a major railway junction which is managed by Moradabad division of
Northern Railway Zone. Laksar Railway Junction falls on Ambala- Bijnore rail
route and is served with many trains connecting it to other parts of the state
and the country. Dausani and Aithal are nearby railway stations to it. There
are several places of interest which are easily accessible from Laksar Jn.
Perched on the bank of holy River
Ganga, Roorkee is picturesque place
situated just 20 km away from Laksar Jn. It offers scenic views of lush green
hills and beautiful landscapes. Himalayan Eco Park, Boat Club, Baan Ganga
Wetland and Solani Aqueduct are other highlights of Roorkee. Laksar also lies just 35 km away from Haridwar which houses several places of
religious significance attracting thousands of Hindu devotees round the year.
Laksar Jn has rail and road connections to Haridwar. Rajaji National Park is a
popular place among wildlife freak tourists. Abundant with rich flora and
fauna, Rajaji Park can easily be explored from Laksar Jn. Rishikesh and Dehradun are other place of
interest and can be reached from Laksar.
Jammu Tawi-Muzaffarpur Exp, Kanpur
central- Jammu Tawi Exp, Lucknow -Chandigarh Exp, Kathgodam-Dehradun Exp,
Allahabad-Haridwar Exp, and many other trains pass through Laksar Railway
Junction. Muzaffarnagar is the closest airbase to Laksar.
