Barwadih Railway Junction is located in Latehar district of
Jharkhand state, India. It comes under East Central Railway, Dhanbad Jn. Barwadih is a small town surrounded by
forests and wildlife reserve area. Barwadih Railway Station is located on
Garwah-Ranchi rail route. Daltoganj
Railway Station is nearby major railway station to Barwadih. Barwadih is
just about 70 km away from Latehar town which serve as the headquarters of
Latehar district. Netrahat which serves as small hill station and is known for its
picturesque location is just about 80 km away from Barwadih town.
Surrounding area of Barwadih is abundant with rich flora and
fauna. Famous for its diverse wild life and vegetation, Betla National Park can easily be accessed from Barwadih Jn. The
park is just about 8 km away from it and is home to plenty of animal species.
Elephant, tiger, wild bear, sloth bear, panther, jackal and hyena are some the
prominent inhabitants of Betla National Park which falls in Palamu district of Jharkhand state. There
are several other natural attractions which are easily accessible from Barwadih
Jn.
