Rohtak Railway Junction,Haryana


Rohtak is a city and the headquarters of Rohtak district in the state of Haryana. It comes under National Capital Region and is just about 70 km north east of Delhi, the capital city of India. Rohtak is a railway junction which belongs to Delhi division of Northern Railway Zone. It is perched on Bhathinda –Delhi rail line. ROK is the station code of Rohtak Jn. Rohtak is an Industrial Model Township developed by Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation of Haryana state. Tilyar Lake is a major tourist attraction near Rohtak town. Spread over an area of about 132 acre, Tilyar Lake serves to be a perfect picnic spot for the locals and the visitors as well.
Other places of interest located near Rohtak are Bhiwani, Hansi, Gurgaon/Gurugram, Panipat etc. Punjab Mail (Mumbai CST-Firozpur Cant), Jabalpur-Jammu Tawi Exp, Shri Gangasagar- Delhi Intercity Exp, Nanded-Shri Gangasagar Exp, Gorakhpur-Hisar Exp, Howrah-Shri Gangasagar Exp, Dauldhara Exp (Pathankot-Delhi) and many other trains stop at Rohtak Railway Junction. The town of Rohtak is also connected by several state and national highways to other parts of the country. Indira Gandhi International airport serves to be the nearest major airbase to Rohtak.
