         Botad is a town in Bhavnagar district of Gujarat state. It is a railway junction which comes under Western Railways, Bhavnagar Jn. Botad Railway Junction falls on Surendranagar- Dhola rail route and is connected by many trains to other cities of India. Kundil and Lathidad are nearby railway station to Botad Jn, while Rajkot Jn serves to be the nearest major railhead to the town. The town of Botad is an emerging business hub in the state. The town of Botad hosts a number diamond cutting and polishing units.
        Botad is home to several places of interest. Among them Clock Tower and Town Gate are historical significant places. Clock tower was built by Maharaja Krishna Kumar Sing. it is now the place of central market of Botad Town. The town also houses a beautiful lake which serves to be perfect picnic spot for locals and the visitors. Satam Mela is organized here every year in the Shravan month. Haran Kui and a beautiful park are other attractions of Botad town.
        Rajkot city lies just about 120 km west of Botad Jn and Bhavnagar is about 100 km south east of Botad. Several trains pass through Botad Railway junction connecting it to Ahmedabad, Surat, Mumbai, Rajkot, Bhavnagar, Surendranagar and many other cities of India.
