Manamadurai is a town in Sivaganga district of Tamil Nadu
state. It is a major railway junction which comes under Madurai Jn division of
Sothern Railway Zone. Manamadurai Railway Junction is perched on
Madurai-Rameshwaram rail line and is served with a number of trains. There are
several places of interest located in and around Manamadurai.
Manamadurai is just about 50 km away from Madurai. Madurai is
a historic city offering a number of attractions and prominent religious sites.
Tamil Nadu is sometimes called as the temple state of India. Madurai being a
part of the state is no exception to it. Madurai is home to the famous
Meenakshi Temple, dedicated to Goddess Parvati. Gandhi Museum, Tirumalai Nayak
Palace, Vandiyur Mariamman Teppakulam and Azhagar Kovil are other places of
interest in Manamadurai district. Manamadurai is well connected to Madurai by
road. Sivakashi, Dindigul and Karaikudi are other places of interest which are
easily accessed from Manamadurai Jn.
Manamadurai also hosts some religious sites and places of interest. The Holy
Panch Peer, Iadaikkatur and Panchabhuteshwaram are some of them.
