Gomoh Railway Junction


       Gomoh is a small town located in Dhanbad district of Jharkhand state, India. It is a major railway junction which is managed by Dhanbad Jn of East Central Railway Zone. Gomoh Railway Junction falls on Gaya-Asonsol rail route and is served with many trains connecting it many other cities and towns of the country. Khanudih and Telo are nearby railway stations to Gomoh Jn, while nearby major railhead to Gomoh is Dhanbad Jn. Gomoh Railway Junction is renamed as Subhash Chandra Bose Junction Gomoh. 

       Gomoh Jn is just about 35 km north of Borako Steel city. Borako Steel City is an industrial city of Jharkhand state and is home to Asia’s largest steel plant. It also hosts several other industrial unites. One can also explore numerous places of interest in Borako Steel City which serves as the headquarters of Borako district. Dhanbad which is headquarters of Dhanbad district is just about 40 km away from Gomoh Jn. There are several places of tourist and religious significance located around Dhanbad. The serene Maithon Lake, Topchanchi Lake, Bhatinda Falls, Panchet Dam are some of the beautiful picnic spots in Dhanbad district. 
       Several trains pass through Gomoh Railway Junction. Kolkata-Delhi exp, Haridwar-Shalimar (WB) Exp, Howrah-Mumbai CST Exp, Gwalior-Howrah Exp, and Howrah-Mathura Exp are some of the trains which run through Gomoh Jn. There are many other trains which connect Gomoh to many other cities of the country. Ranchi Airport (160 km) serves to be the closest airbase to Gomoh.
