 Bhimavaram is a town in West Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh state. It is a railway junction which falls on Gudivada-Naraspur rail route. Bhimavaram Railway Junction comes under Vijayawada division of South Central Railways.  There are several trains that pass through Bhimavaram railway station. Palakollu Railway station is located just 24 km east of Bhimavaram Jn. Vijayawada Airport is major nearby airbase to Bhimavaram.



        Bhimavaram is also known as Second Bardoli. When Mahatma Gandhi visited Bhimavaram during the freedom movement of India, he referred the town as Second Bardoli. The town also serves to be a prominent pilgrimage site in the state. It is home to one of sacred Pancharamas located in different parts of Andhra Pradesh state. It also hosts famous Mavullamma temple which attracts thousands of devotees from all over the state. Bhimavaram serves to be a major financial hub in the coastal region of Andhra Pradesh
      Vijayawada is just about 120 km away from Bhimavaram Jn. Konaseema which is known for its beautiful natural surroundings and scenic landscapes can easily be accessed from Bhimavaram. Bhimavaram Railway Station is served with several trains connecting it to many other cities and towns of the country.     National Highway no 214 (NH-214) connecting Kathipudi and Pamarru runs through the town
