Thawe Railway Junction


       Thawe Railway Junction is situated in Gopalganj district of Bihar state. It comes under Varanasi Junction division of North Eastern Railway Zone. It is perched on Gorakhpur-Kaptaganj-Chhapra rail line and is served with several trains. THE is the state code of Thawe Junction. Thawe Junction lies just 8 km away from Gopalganj, the headquarters of Gopalganj. Several places of interest are located around Thawe Junction. Kesariya is a historic site hosting an ancient Buddhist Stupa, built by the emperor Asoka. It is just about 60 km away from Thawe Junction.
     Kesariya Buddhist Stupa is one of the largest and highest Stupas in the world. It is an important archeological site attracting a number of tourists. Other places of interest which are easily approachable from Thawe Junction are Motihari, Kushinagar and Lauria Nandangarh. Chhapra-Thawe Passenger, Thawe-Siwan Passenger, Sonpur-Thawe passenger and Thawe-Chhapra Passenger are some of the trains which pass through Thawe Railway Junction. Besides, the town of Thawe is perched on national highway no 85 (NH-85) connecting Chhapra and Gopalganj.
