Nakodar Railway Junction, Punjab


Nakodar is a municipal town located in Jalandhar district of Indian state of Punjab. It is served with a railway junction managed by Firozpur Cant division of Northern Railway Zone. Nakodar Railway Junction is perched on Jalandhar – Firozpur rail route and is served with many trains. The town of Nakodar hosts some historic and religious significance place in and around it. The tomb of Haji Mahal, the tomb of Mohammed Mommin, Baba Shas Chant Bopa Ki Kalam and Gugga Jahar Vir Mandir are some of them.
Nakodar Jn lies just about 27 km away from Jalandhar. Home to several religious sites and places of interest, Jalandhar is prominent city of Punjab state. Nakoda Jn has road and rail connections to Jalandhar. Nakoda also has rail and road access to Kapurathala city of Punjab. Kapurathala lies just about 37 km away from Nakodar Jn and is known for several historic building and other places of interest. Ludhiana, the largest city of Punjab state, also lies just 50 km south east of Nakodar Jn which is well connected to it by rail and road. The town of Nakodar is also perched on national highway no 71. The nearest airbase to Nakodar is Ludhiana Airport.
