Mehesana Railway Junction,Gujarat


Mehesana is a city and the headquarters of Mehesana district of Indian state of Gujarat. It is served with a railway junction which belongs to Ahmedabad Jn division of Western Railway Zone. Mehesana is an industrial city. It is also home to one of the plants of ONGC (Oil & Natural Gas Cooperation of India). Mehesana hosts several places of interest in and around it. 
Mulnayak Jain Temple with its 107 ft height presents an imposing look to the onlookers. This majestic temple is situated in Mehesana and is known for its beautiful carvings and architecture. Modhera’s Sun Temple is another attraction situated just about 25 km away from Mehesana Jn. The temple is about 900 years old and is perfect specimen of Indian architecture. Swaminarayan Temple, Wide Angel Theater and Thol Wild life Sanctuary are other places of interest which are located near Mehesana. Mehesana is just about 63 km away from Gandhinagar, the capital city of Gujarat state, while Ahmedabad is just about 75 km away from Mehesana. Ahmedabad serves to be the closest major railhead to Mehesana Jn.
Bikaner-Bandra (Mh) Spl, Lucknow-Ahmedabad Spl, Pune-Jodhpur Exp, Agra Fort-Ahmedabad Exp, and Delhi-Ahmedabad Exp are some of the trains which stop at Mehesana Railway Junction. Besides, Mehesana city has also good road connection to other parts of Gujarat. Ahmedabad Airport serves to be the nearest airbase to Mehesana Jn.
