Kazipet Railway Junction,Andhra Pradesh


Kazipet is a town in Warangal district of Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. It is one of tri cities of Hanmankonda-Warangal-Kazipet. It is a major railway junction which comes under Secunderabad Jn division of South Central Railway Zone. Warangal and Pindlai are nearby railway stations to Kazipet. Kazipet Jn is situated on Chennai-New Delhi Grand Trunk Route. It is served with many trains connecting it to Chennai, Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata and many other parts of the country.
Kazipet is just 11 km away from Warangal city which hosts several places of religious significance. Shri Bhadrakali Devsthanam, Shri Swaymbhu Temple and Sri Rudreswara Swami Temple are some of many places of worship in Warangal. Khammam, Medaram and Medak are some other places which are easily accessible from Kazipet JN. Hazart’s shrine is a major religious place of Kazipet. It is known as Kazipet Dargah and is visited by thousand of devotees round the year.
Several trains pass through Kazipet Railway Junction. Visakhapatnam-Secunderabad SPL, Konark Exp (Mumbai- Bhubaneswar), Bhubaneswar-Manmad SPL, Vishakhapatnam-Sai Nagar Shirdi SPL and Gorakhpur- Secunderabad Exp are some of them. Kazipet is also perched on national highway no 202 (NH-202) connecting Hyderabad (AP) and Bhopalpatnam in Chhattisgarh.
