Dalmau Railway Junction


        Dalmau is a small town in Rae Bareli district of Uttar Pradesh state. It is an important railway junction managed by Northern Railway, Lucknow Jn. Dalmau Railway Junction falls on Unnao- Unchahar railway line and is served with many trains connecting it to Allahabad, Rae Bareli, Unnao, Unchahar and thereby to many other parts of India.
          Dalmau is just about 33 km away from Rae Bareli city. It has rail and road connections to it. There are several places of interest situated in and around Rae Bareli. Indira Gandhi Memorial Botanical Garden is one among them. Set up in 1986 to maintain ecological balance, Botanical Garden serves to be a perfect picnic spot for the locals and the visitors. Behta Bridge and Samastipur Bird Sanctuary are other prominent places of attraction to be visited in and around Dalmau. Kanpur, Lucknow, Pratapgarh, and Kaushambi are important places which can easily be accessed from Dalamu Jn.
         There are several trains which pass through Dalmau Railway Junction. Dalmau is well connected by rail to many other cities of Uttar Pradesh and rest parts of the country. Besides, state highway no 38 and 13A run through the town linking it to other parts of the state. Kanpur which is about 100km North West of Dalmau serves to be the closest airbase to it.
