Kullu is the headquarter town of Kullu district. Himalayan National Park: Famous among the wildlife freak tourists, the Great Himalayan National Park is a major attraction in Kullu region in the state of Himachal Pradesh. It also known as Jawaharlal Great Himalayan National Pak, the park is home to numerous species of animals and birds. Spread over a wide area, the park houses deer, brown beers, black bears, Himalayan Tahr, etc. One can also spot snow leopard which is one of the most endangered animal species in the world.
Bijli Mahadev Temple: Situated at the top of a majestic hill having 2450 m elevation from the sea level, Bijli Mahadev temple is prominent place of worship in Kullu valley. It offers the magnificent views of lush green valley below. Dedicated to Lord Shiva, Bijli Mahadev temple presents a wonderful Pahari style of architecture. Large number of pine trees perched along the uphill way to the holy shrine makes the journey of the pilgrim and tourists a pleasant and unforgettable experience.
